Truth: I am super picky about the products I choose to use on my body. Our skin is our largest organ and absorbs everything we put on it. So it's really important to me to NOT use products full of chemicals and synthetic ingredients, or even technically natural ingredients that have either been grown in a poor environment or adulterated via commercial processing. Which means finding skincare products that I feel good about using can take a lot of searching and label reading.

When I originally started thinking about writing this post, I actually had an entirely different set of products I had planned to share...but a few months ago I happened upon Leahlani's brilliant line of skincare products and completely fell in love. So really, this post has pretty much become a loving ode to the wonder that is Leahlani Skincare. 😂💜🙌🏻

When I first found Leahlani's products, read through the ingredients and about how she makes them...I was so excited to order and try them! They check every box on my (somewhat demanding) list of requirements and equally important...they WORKED for me! My skin has been seriously cranky since we moved to Hawaii, something about the humidity and heat my skin does NOT appreciate. At all. Like seriously, my skin has been worse than when I was a teenager. And at 32...that is so not cool! But there was a huge shift right away when I started using these. The Kalima Cleansing Powder in particular works wonders in calming the redness for me. The masks are awesome, too. I've tried the Mermaid Mask, MeliGlow, HoneyLove, and Kokoleka. Mermaid and MeliGlow are my favorites, both by themselves and mixed with a little Kalima Cleanser. My favorite way to use the Bless Beauty Balm is as a lip conditioner, and I use it on my chest and neck a couple of times a week also. The Bohemian Ruby Balancing Toner and Siren Serum wrap up my nightly skin cleansing routine. I especially love the Siren Serum because it's made with a jojoba base. A lot of serums have coconut and/or olive oil in them, both of which break me out, but jojoba makes my skin happy and moisturized.

Something else that is a super important skincare trick, especially here in the land of cranky skin, is dry skin brushing. (Ideally you should dry skin brush your entire body! It's so good for your lymphatic system, click HERE for a tutorial) Dry skin brushing on my face is particularly important. It doesn't matter what else I do if I don't do my dry skin brushing every night, I start to break out. I use the Baudelaire Complexion Brush just for my face because it's a little softer and a better size for the contours of the face than my regular body brush is. So if dry skin brushing isn't already a part of your routine, I highly recommend giving it a try!

Do you have any natural beauty products you love? I always love finding and trying out new products, so tell me about your faves!
